Frequently asked questions about online general meetings
Is an online co-ownership general meeting legal in Belgium?
Yes. The Civil Code allows the general meeting to be held remotely or in hybrid form, provided co-owners can be identified, follow the debates and vote. Digital Meeting was designed to meet these requirements and document every step.
Do co-owners need to install software?
No. Everything runs in the browser, on a computer, tablet or smartphone, from the link received by email.
What if a co-owner has no email address?
They can send their voting instructions to the property manager before the meeting or give a proxy. The property manager enters these votes in the platform and they are counted like all the others.
How much does an online general meeting cost?
€100 per meeting plus €2.50 per co-owner invited, excluding VAT. Professional property managers can opt for the annual subscription with unlimited meetings.
